Instruments

In this part we will see the most important tools used in electrical engineering / electronics. Below is a list of the most important.

1. Osciloscope
2. Network Analiser
3. Multimeter
4. Waveform Generator
5. Earth Resistance Meter

Osciloscopes

Those instruments are used to mesure the waveform of electric signal, nowadays osciloscopes are digital devices, and perform some signal processing operations like FFT, adition, multiplication, also it does some form of signal export for future analisys.

Network Analyser

This instrument is used to analyze electrical propertys of electronic mesh. (Those propertys are called s-parameterss), also the Network analyser is used to extract the Bode Plot and Smith chart.

Multimeter

This instrument is used to measure current, voltage, resistance and capacitance, on electronic circuits.

Waveform Generator

This instrument can create a bunch of test-signals (square,senoidal, triangular,PWM, etc...) used for test the performance of a circuit.

Earth Resistance Meter

This instrument is normally used in the industry to measure the quality of the ground potencial.
